Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, vanilla, and mashed bananas, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread over the cooled cake before serving.
